Frogs by Night in Bristol

I’ve been wondering for a while how many frogs there are in my tiny pond. There’s definitely a big one, and a little one. Though as the water is so murky, I couldn’t see.

Last night, I went out in the garden and there were a few sat around near the surface, visible. See:

More than two frogs. And a newt.

Unless frogs grow very fast, I don’t think the larger one is one of the ones from last year’s tadpoles.
And if it is, then the smaller ones can’t be, so either way, it’s pretty cool. Frogs have either moved into the pond, or returned to it. None of my neighbours have ponds, so if they’ve moved in, I’ve no idea where they’ve come from.
